Tommy, 11 ans, sa grande sœur Viola et leur père Renato forment une famille étrangement unie depuis que la femme la plus importante de leur vie, mère des deux enfants et épouse de Renato, les a abandonnés. Cette famille pleine de rage et d’imperfections, d’une inconsolable solitude, tient debout malgré tout grâce au souci constant de chacun pour les autres, et à leur amour.

11-year-old Tommy, his older sister Viola and their father Renato have formed a strangely united family since the most important woman in their life, the mother of the two children and Renato’s wife, abandoned them. Despite all, this family, so full of fury, failings and inconsolable loneliness, keeps going, thanks to their abiding concern for others and their love.

Biographie Né à Rome en 1969, Kim Rossi Stuart étudie le théâtre avant de décrocher son premier rôle dans Le Nom De La Rose de Jean-Jacques Annaud. Il a tourné avec des cinéastes de renom comme Michelangelo Antonioni, Roberto Benigni et Gianni Amelio. En 2003, il joue dans Pinocchio de Roberto Benigni et, en 2004, dans Les Clefs De La Maison, de Gianni Amelio. En 2006, il est à l’affiche du drame italien Romanzo Criminale réalisé par Michele Placido, dans lequel il interprète Freddo.

Biography Kim Rossi Stuart (born October 31, 1969) is an Italian actor. Kim Rossi Stuart was born in Rome. His father, Giacomo, was also an actor. His mother was a former top model. He began acting at the age of 5. He studied theatre and in 1986 began acting regularly, especially on TV productions like Fantaghirò and for the cinema with a small role in The Name of the Rose. He reached popularity with Il Ragazzo dal Kimono d’oro and in the film Poliziotti ("Policemen"). After this commercial film he began to act only in quality films, like Senza pelle, where his role, a man with psychological problems, was appreciated by critics. Then he acted with director Antonioni in Al di là delle nuvole, and in an international production TV fiction Il rosso e nero. In the last years Rossi Stuart came back to act in the theatre with Re Lear and with the most important Italian actors, like Turi Ferro in the work Il visitatore. In 2004, he played in Le chiavi di casa ("The Keys to the House"), as a young father that attempts to forge a relationship with his teenage, handicapped son when he met him for the first time. Later he played Mimmo in the TV-film Il tunnel della libertà (2004) and he had one of the leading-roles (Freddo) in Michele Placido’s Romanzo criminale (2005, based on the book, English title Crime Novel).
